CNC Program Editor and Group Lead

About Us:
We are a manufacturing company seeking a CNC Program Editor and Group Lead Position.

We are in Maywood, IL and have been in the powersport business since 1937. We produce OEM products for companies such as Harley-Davidson and BMW, and we design and manufacture under our own brand names. We’re looking for someone who can run our Laser or 3-Axis Department using their CNC knowledge.

About You:
You would be in charge of the 3-Axis Routing or Laser Department!
You would make samples for engineers by taking their programs (editing when necessary for off-sets) and running the parts for them in addition to running production parts.

Essential Functions:

  • CNC editing
  • Read engineering drawings
  • Operate 3-Axis Routers
  • Group Lead Responsibilities for Production including First Article
  • Responsible for Production and Prototype parts
  • Produce production tooling

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • AutoCAD or similar
  • Set-up on vertical CNC milling, lathe, horizontal milling machine or CNC Router
  • Computer Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative and self-motivated with strong ability to follow instructions as well as improvise when required
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing department needs

Required Experience:

  • Set-up on vertical CNC milling, lathe, horizontal milling machine or CNC Router
  • Manufacturing experience

Working Conditions:

  • Factory environment
  • Fast paced
  • Time divided between programming at a computer and machine operating
  • General work hours of 7:00AM - 3:30PM, M-F
  • English and Spanish speaking facility – Must be comfortable with dual language environment
